Planning questions · Sample menus · How it works
At an activation, food sits inside a larger program. A launch may have a press arrival, a presentation, an open period and a separate guest list for dinner. Put those parts of the day in the inquiry so the catering discussion begins with the event itself.
Carmelized Productions was founded by Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo in 2004, before Animal, Son of a Gun and Jon & Vinny’s. Nike, Burberry, Spotify, Netflix, Prada, Louis Vuitton and Gucci are on the confirmed client list. Specific production stories and approved photographs are still being gathered.
What to include in the inquiry
- The brand, agency and main production contact
- Guest count for each part of the program
- Opening times, presentations and service windows
- The venue and available preparation space
- Brand requirements, dietary needs and estimated budget
The food and service
Compare passed service with stations when guests will be moving through the space. For a seated portion, describe the program and the timing around it. Confirm the final menu and service scope with the team.
Menus to discuss
Sample menus are a starting point. Confirm dishes and availability with the catering team.
Planning the next step
Include your estimated guest count and budget band. The Company field is optional. If the location is still undecided, enter “Not booked yet.” Read how the inquiry works and the common questions.

Brand activations — planning questions
What should an agency include in a catering brief?
Share the brand, audience, event goals, location, attendance and run of show. Include any creative references and distinguish public arrivals, press moments and private meals so the food discussion reflects the full program.
Can we discuss a menu that fits the event concept?
Yes. Share the creative direction, dishes you have in mind and the experience you want guests to have. The sample menus offer a starting point; confirm the final dishes, presentation and any special requirements with the team.
How should we describe an event with several guest waves?
Provide the estimated total attendance and the largest group expected at one time. List each service window and any separate rooms or invitation lists; these details are more useful than a single overall headcount.
