Planning questions · Sample menus · How it works
You may not have every detail yet. Start with the date, the place and an approximate number of people. If someone else is helping to organize the gathering, include their name and the best way to reach them.
A reception after a service may need a different arrangement from a seated meal at home. Tell the team whether guests will arrive together, whether there will be readings or remarks, and whether you prefer food available throughout the gathering. You do not need to write a long brief.
What to include in the inquiry
- Date and approximate number of guests
- Home, venue or location still to be decided
- Timing of the service and reception
- Any food traditions, dietary needs or allergies
- The person coordinating the arrangements
The food and service
Passed food, plated service, buffet and stations are among the company’s confirmed formats. Ask which would suit the room and the gathering. Include the best contact for the gathering in your inquiry.
Menus to discuss
Sample menus are a starting point. Confirm dishes and availability with the catering team.
Planning the next step
Include your estimated guest count and budget band. The Company field is optional. If the location is still undecided, enter “Not booked yet.” Read how the inquiry works and the common questions.

Celebration of life — planning questions
Can we inquire before all the arrangements are settled?
Yes. Start with what you know: the likely date, place and approximate number of guests. Include a family member, friend or planner who can help coordinate the remaining details.
What food format should we consider after a service?
Describe the gathering’s length and whether people will arrive together or come and go. Ask about passed food, a buffet, stations or a seated meal in relation to the space and the atmosphere you want.
What if the gathering is at a private home?
Share the address, available indoor and outdoor space, access details and estimated attendance. The team can discuss the preparation, staffing and rental requirements for that particular setting.
